Turn your restaurant data into the next decision.

Tahlely is a restaurant decision system. Upload the files you already export — sales, purchases, inventory, waste, recipes — and see what changed, why it matters, and what deserves your attention next.

Up to 3 completed analyses. No credit card required.

Every analysis answers four questions

  1. What changed?

Sales, margins, costs and stock, compared with the period before.

  2. Why does it matter?

The evidence behind each change, and how much of the business it touches.

  3. What deserves attention next?

A short, ordered list of decisions, each with a concrete next step.

  4. Did the last decision work?

When newer data arrives, the same measures are read again.

Reports show numbers. You need the next step.

A restaurant already produces plenty of data: the POS sales export, supplier invoices, stock counts, waste logs, the recipe sheet. Each one answers a narrow question, and none of them talks to the others.

So the questions that decide a month stay open. Is this product still profitable after its ingredients went up? Is the stock gap a counting problem or a purchasing one? Did last month's change actually help? Answering them means lining files up by hand, usually after the money has already moved.

How Tahlely works

No integration project and no new system for your staff. Tahlely works from the files you can already export.

  1. Upload the exports you already have

CSV or Excel files from your POS, purchasing, inventory, waste and recipes, in English or Arabic. Tahlely recognizes what each file is and matches its columns. When it is not sure, it asks you instead of guessing.

  2. Tahlely connects the files and compares periods

Sales are linked to recipes, recipes to ingredient costs, and purchases, stock and waste to the ingredients they move. Each period is compared with the one before it.

  3. You get decisions, not another dashboard

A short list ordered by what is at stake, each with the evidence it rests on and a next step you can act on. Later uploads show whether each decision is improving, still open, or resolved.

What Tahlely analyzes

Each area feeds the same decision list, so a cost problem and a sales problem are weighed against each other rather than read in separate reports.

  • Profitability and margins

Gross margin after food cost for each product, and which products are earning less per unit than before. Tahlely labels this margin clearly: it is before payroll, rent and other operating costs.

Restaurant profitability analysis by menu item

  • Product performance

Which products are growing or declining, how revenue is spread across the menu, and how much depends on a few items.

  • Food cost

Recipe cost from your recipe sheet and ingredient prices, and the gap between what recipes say you used and what you actually bought and counted.

  • Waste

What was wasted, by ingredient and by the reason your team recorded, and how it moves from one period to the next.

  • Purchases

Unit-cost changes by ingredient and supplier, spend that moved without a matching change in sales, and invoices that look like duplicates.

  • Inventory

Counted stock against what should be there, negative balances, and stock that is not moving.

  • Promotions and campaigns

Record a campaign's dates, and Tahlely compares sales during it with an equally long window before it.

  • Historical comparison

Every upload is compared with earlier periods, and decisions are remembered, so a recurring problem is recognized instead of announced as new each month.

Illustrative example

One decision, from first sign to follow-up

An illustrative example of how a single decision moves through Tahlely. It describes how the product works, not a customer's result.

  1. What changed

In August, a best-selling plate is still selling well, but its gross margin after food cost has dropped and its food cost per unit has risen.

  2. Why it matters

A popular product earning less on every sale quietly erodes profit — and pushing more volume makes it worse. The decision shows the measurements it is based on.

  3. What to do next

Check the plate's real selling price, its portion cost and the purchase price of its ingredients, fix the weakest one first, then measure gross profit per unit again.

  4. Did it work?

When September's files are uploaded, Tahlely reads the same measures again and marks the decision as improving, still open, worsening or resolved — with the before and after figures side by side.

Order is the sequence to work through: a decision with more than twice the money at stake of another goes ahead of it. Severity is how serious each decision is on its own — the two do not always line up.

Protect product margin — Chicken shawarma plate

August 2026

Chicken shawarma plate still sells well, but each unit is earning less than it used to.

  • Gross margin after food cost: decreased
  • Food cost per unit: increased

Action:

Check Chicken shawarma plate's realized selling price, portion cost, and ingredient purchase cost before pushing more volume. Fix the weakest one first, then measure gross profit per unit again.

Gross margin here is after food cost only. It is before payroll, rent, delivery commissions, utilities and every other operating expense, so it is not your net profit.

Review purchase unit price — Beef patty

    August 2026

The purchase price per comparable unit increased. This is direct cost pressure even if sales also grew.

    • Purchase cost per unit changed by 12%

    Action:

Call the supplier and compare Beef patty's unit price across the last two invoices and the previous period, and with an alternative supplier if available. If the increase persists, speak with the supplier before the next order or check its effect on portion cost.
